历年都受夏令营学生们非常欢迎的英文写作老师 Ms. Francine Lee-Kim, 击剑和网球 ”Special” 的老师 Mr. Graham Draper，数学竞赛班的 Eloi 教授都会加入我们的实地夏令营。另外实地课程还邀请了目前在中文学校非常受欢迎的陈卉老师和画画的张光羽老师加入我们的教师队伍。

Most classes are in-person. Additional classes are online.
Dates (开营日期): June 20 to August 19 (9 Weeks), Monday - Friday, 4 Sessions.
Minimum age required (最小年龄): 5 years old
Minimum enrollment (最少开班人数) to run a class: 5 students
In-Person Camp is at
45 Walker Road, Wayne, 19087 at the United Church of Christ at Valley Forge.
Vaccination Policy as of March 10
Campers aged 12+ must be fully vaccinated and submit proof on the first day of camp.

Registration Process:
Registration will be through our online system, where one registers for our Weekend School, using a credit card. The system only takes full payment.
Registration Fee:
$50 registration fee waived through April 15, 2022.
The registration system will automatically apply the registration fee after April 15.
Discounts:
Because registration is done through our online system, the discount structure cannot be as complicated as with paper registrations. New discounts are:
5% Multi-Session / Multi-Class discount - any camper that registers for more than one session or more than one class will get a 5% discount on all of his/her sessions or classes.
Weekend School Student Additional 5% - Students of our 2021-2022 Weekend School will receive an additional 5% discount on all of their sessions or classes.
Policy on Reducing Enrollment or Withdrawing Completely:
If you reduce or withdraw BY 4/15/2022, you will receive a full refund of your payment.
If you reduce or withdraw AFTER 4/15/2022 but BEFORE THE THIRD DAY OF YOUR CAMP, you will be refunded a prorated amount of unused tuition minus 10% of your payment.
If you reduce or withdraw ON OR AFTER the THIRD DAY OF YOUR CAMP, there will be no refund.
Policy on Switching Sessions, Changing Pick Up Times or Adding Sessions If Space is Available:
Before or on 4/15/2022, no cost to switching sessions, changing pick-up times, or adding sessions.
After 4/15/2022, a $5 fee per child per transaction, for each switch-of-session / change-of-pick-up-time (even if for a day) / addition-of-session. Note that the policy on reducing enrollment or withdrawing completely is different and specified above.
Referral Bonus:
$25 to a family that brings in a new student from a different family who enrolls:
If in-person camp, at least 1 week
if online class $300 in payment of classes.

Course content differs by sessions (夏令营共四期，每期的授课内容不一样).
Grade referenced is student’s grade level next September 年级指的是新学年9月份年级.
Age referenced is summer age 年龄指的是夏天的年龄.
In-Person Chinese Classes 实地中文课
CHL Class A (Age 5-6)
CHL Class B (Age 7-8)
CHL Class C (Age 9-10)

Maximum # of students per class: 12
Session 1 (第一期): 6/20 - 7/8 (3 weeks, 7/4 holiday)
Session 2 (第二期): 7/11 - 7/22 (2 weeks)
Session 3 (第三期): 7/25 - 8/5 (2 weeks)
Session 4 (第四期): 8/8 - 8/19 (2 weeks), 8/19 end at 1 PM b/c site has event
Each session has a theme with accompanying vocabulary. 明朗夏令营多年来积累了一套完整的以主题为主的“沉浸式”教学大纲。
Students learn through games, songs, crafts, fun activities, and more, from dedicated teachers in a nurturing environment.
Chinese instruction starts at 9AM.
Earliest drop off at 8AM. The latest pick-up is 6 PM. Earlier 4 PM or 1 PM pick up available.
“Specials” of tennis, drawing, arts and crafts, and calligraphy are taught by expert teachers in the afternoon almost every day. Below are sample works by our Specials teachers:
In-Person Advanced English Writing 1-Week Boot Camp (For Grades 5-6 in Sept) 英文写作
8/1 - 8/5, 8AM-5PM THIS BOOT CAMP IS FULL
Supplies Needed: Student brings laptop or iPad (teacher has a keyboard that plugs into iPad but not into other tablets), access to Google Docs.
Instructor: Ms. Francine Lee-Kim (K-12 certified, one of our most popular teachers)
Students will explore various writing types such as argumentative/debate, informational, and narrative writing. The focus will be on honing their author’s craft - transforming systematic writing into pieces with depth and style. High-interest articles and short stories will be used as mentor text guides for their own writing. Top of Page
In-Person MATHCOUNTS / AMC 1-Week Boot Camp (For Grades 6-8 in Sep) 初中数学竞赛强化班
7/11 - 7/15, 8AM-5PM Boot Camp #1
7/25 - 7/29, 8AM-5PM Boot Camp #2
Content is DIFFERENT between the two Boot Camps so students can attend both.
The class is led by Professor Diego Eloi who has taught our Competition Math Seminars in January and February and received rave reviews from both students and parents. He is an experienced national-level competition math coach and professor who has led teams to math olympiad competitions around the world. This class will focus on preparing for math competitions such as MATHCOUNTS or AMC 8. Top of Page
In-Person Competition Math AMC10 1-Week Boot Camp (For Grades 9-10 in Sep) 九/十年级数学竞赛强化班
7/18 - 7/22, 8AM-5PM

In-Person Fencing Camp (For Ages 7-13)
7/11 - 7/22, 1PM-4PM
Instructor: Mr. Graham Draper (YMCA coach, MLCCC fencing coach, adored by his students)
All equipment is provided by the instructor.
Fencing, known as “physical chess”, is a graceful and fast sport that hones mental agility. The class will emphasize having fun while practicing discipline, acquiring strength, and improving gross motor skills, using a variety of games to promote strength, coordination, and tactics.
Online Class Math Enrichment (for Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6 in September ) 数学
Grades 3-4: Tuesdays & Thursdays 10AM-11AM EDT, Sessions 1, 2, 3
Grades 5-6: Tuesdays & Thursdays 11AM-12PM EDT, Sessions 1, 2, 3
Content is DIFFERENT between sessions.
Instructor: Ms. Li Huimin (University professor, always receives good feedback from parents)
Grades 3-4 Class Description:
Students will learn problem-solving skills and logical thinking in topics such as mixed operations in whole numbers and fractions, basic and intermediate geometry concepts and different measurement concepts. Strategies in mental calculation and speed math will also be introduced. Students will be encouraged and engaged in the use of visuals and other mathematical techniques to solve problems.
Grades 5-6 Class Description:
Students will develop more advanced mathematical skills and abstract reasoning in topics such as percentages and rates, intermediate and more advanced geometry concepts, data analysis and probabilities, and pre-algebra variable expressions and equations. Students will be engaged in discussions of multiple methods of solving problems and the use of visuals and other techniques to improve their analytical skills. Top of Page
Online Class Calligraphy 中国书法 (Ages 7+)
Tuesdays & Thursdays 2PM-3PM EDT, Sessions 1, 2, 3
Content is DIFFERENT between sessions.
Instructor: Ms. Xiao Wen (always praised by parents)
Students use Chinese brush and ink as they learn and practice from basic strokes to short phrases and poems in a meditative, relaxed atmosphere. The Class will work on assignments that are tailored to each student's level and ability. The class often begins with a demonstration, followed by time for individual attention, allowing students to learn at their own pace. Whether beginner or advanced, all levels and ages are welcomed. Online Class Animation (Age 7+)
Mondays & Wednesdays 7PM-8PM EDT, All Sessions
Content is DIFFERENT between sessions.
Supplies Needed: iPad, iMovie app, $10 Procreate software app fee.
Instructor: Ms. Kang Lan (rave-reviewed by parents)
An extremely fun digital adventure! Students will explore digital art and use the software Procreate to create various types of art effects, including sketching, watercolor, oil painting, vector cartoons, and animation.
